Biography
John Clucas is an associate at Monahan Law Group. His practice consists of guardianship and probate matters.
Prior to pursuing law, John worked as an education coordinator at the DuPage County chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. In that role, he gave presentations to middle and high school students about the signs and symptoms of mental illness with NAMI’s “Ending the Silence” program. The mission of that program was destigmatizing the conversation around mental illness among young people.
At the University of Tennessee College of Law, John participated in, and eventually chaired, the school’s Student Wellness Committee; a collation of students and faculty dedicated to creating a schoolwide conversation about mental health care. Additionally, he was the editor-in-chief of the Tennessee Journal of Law & Policy. During law school, he interned with the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville in Tennessee, Pisgah Legal Services in Asheville, North Carolina, and served as a student attorney with the University of Tennessee’s Domestic Violence Clinic.
