The No Surprise Act In The Community

Thursday, September 1, 2022
4:00 pm – 5:30 pm EDT

Ironically, the federal regulations implementing the No Surprises Act came as a surprise to many community-based providers of health care and related social services. While the law is directed primarily toward inpatient and other facility-based providers, it is broad in scope and impact. This webinar will discuss the purpose and goals of the regulations implementing the Act, the provisions of the Act applicable to Aging Life Care Association members, and practical steps to implement in order to comply with the law.

Webinar Goal: The primary goals of this webinar are to contextualize and address sources of confusion around the No Surprises Act and to offer pragmatic guidance on compliance.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify which provisions of the No Surprises Act apply to your practice;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the law’s requirements relating to the provision of Good Faith Estimates; and
  • Establish best practices for compliance with the Act as applicable.
